Be prepared for an early morning wake up call from your pilot. This morning’s itinerary includes an early morning low-level hot air balloon ride over valleys, mountains, and rivers.
Following the hot air balloon ride your trek in the Blue Mountains is embraced by the Susquehanna and Juniata Rivers. This is where natural wildlife is at home in the forest preserves, national parks, lakes, rivers and mountains. Outdoor activities are the highlight of this area. The schedule for the day may include biking, boating, hiking, or just sitting back and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.
We will take a leisurely drive to the eastern most region of Pennsylvania to our final hot air balloon ride destination.
Our hosts Cindy and Gordon will greet us at The Gatehouse Country Inn Bed and Breakfast, a 1900’s carriage house, barn, stable and ice house converted into an elegant country home by the famous musician and bandleader, Fred Waring. Join the pilot and crew for a gourmet dinner at Antelao’s.

The final and probably the most spectacular hot air balloon ride will take place this morning, as we float off the front lawn and drift over the Delaware River and attempt to shoot the gap. A hot air balloon ride through the Delaware Water Gap is an experience to be savored.
The Delaware Water Gap in Eastern Pennsylvania is a spectacular site that separates New Jersey and Pennsylvania and features 70,000 acres of forested hiking trails and 40 miles of the Delaware River. This region has a reputation as the ultimate getaway, and for good reason. Set in the Pocono Mountains, it’s a wonderland of forests, mountains, and trails, making it an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise.
Following the hot air balloon ride we will return to the Gate House for a leisurely breakfast before heading to the point of embarkation.
