Hound & Hare Race & Balloon Fly-in

When the first balloon reaches its final destination, they will drop a marker to the ground and the chasing balloons test their stills to land as close to the mark as they can.

The fun doesn’t stop there – As the first set of racers take off from the festival grounds, the second set of racers will giving chase toward the festival grounds. Spectators will get to see both launch and landing of these highly skilled balloon teams.

Balloon Chasing – If you are more of the adventurous type and want to experience the gentle, winding back-country roads and lanes of Lancaster County, you can even chase after the balloon teams.

#LancBalloonFest Photo Competition

Tag your photos on social media with the hashtag #LancBalloonFest for a chance to win two Any Time Flight Tickets from the US Hot Air Balloon Team. Tickets will be for the value of a shared balloon ride from our Lancaster location.

Nighttime Balloon Glows (Friday & Saturday)

Once the sun goes down, our balloonists will be back on the launch site to fire up their balloons. But, instead of floating away they will stay on the ground as they blast their burners and light up their balloons.

In addition to this magical site, you can join us by the fireside and make a complimentary Smore!
