Directions To: Saint Peters, PA Launch Site (for “MapQuest”/GPS use 141 Hopewell Road, Elverson, PA 19520) From the South: DC, Baltimore, Wilmington, DE Route 95 North to Wilmington, DE, take Route 202 North to West Chester. PA - to Route 100 North. Cross Route 30 Exton. Go approximately 12 miles to Route 23, (Bucktown). Make a left on Route 23 West. Go 3 miles to Knauertown. Turn right on St. Peters Road. Follow bolded directions below. From the East: New Jersey, Bucks County, Philadelphia Route 202 South to King of Prussia OR Route 1-176 West to King of Prussia OR PA Turnpike 1-76 West to King of Prussia (Exit 326) Connect to Route 422 West. Proceed approximately 21 miles to Pottstown, PA. Take Route 100 South exit. Go approximately 5 miles to Bucktown. Turn right Route 23 West-3 miles to Knauertown. Turn right on St. Peters Road. Follow bolded directions below. From the North: Northern Pennsylvania or New York Take Route 78 West to Allentown area to Route 29 South (Emmaus). Follow Route 29 South through Emmaus. Route 29 will merge onto Route 100 South. Follow to Pottstown, cross under Route 422 and proceed approximately 5 miles to Route 23. Turn right Route 23 West for 3 miles to Knauertown. Turn right on St. Peters Road. Follow bolded directions below. From the West: York, Harrisburg, Lancaster Take PA Turnpike East to Exit 298, Morgantown, PA. Take Route 10 South to Route 23. Turn left, Route 23 East, approximately 7 miles to Knauertown. Turn left on St. Peters Road. Follow bolded directions below. From Reading Take Route 422 East to Route I-176 South to Morgantown. Take Route 23 East, approximately 7 miles to Knauertown. Turn Left on St. Peters Road. Follow bolded directions below. Proceed 1 1/2 miles on St. Peters Road to Y, stay left, proceed 1/2 mile to stop sign. Turn left on Harmonyville Road, proceed 2/10 mile and bear right on Hopewell Road. Proceed 2/10 mile to 2rd driveway on the right. Look for Red, White, Blue Hot Air Balloon Sign on left side of driveway. Serenity Kennels sign is on right side of driveway. Park at signs and walk to launch field on your left. Meet at picnic pavilion. ![]() Saint Peters - Chester County FLIGHT & LAUNCH SITE INFORMATION 1. Scheduling your flight: Select a date, call 800-763-5987 to reserve the date. 2. Confirming your flight: AM FLIGHT: Passengers must call 800-723-5884 after 4:30 AM on the day of their flight for final flight status. PM FLIGHT: Passengers must call 800-723-58 2 hours before their scheduled afternoon flight time for final flight status. * Final flight determination cannot be made prior to the times listed for the AM or PM flights. Flights take place weather permitting. 3. Cancellation: Cancellation or reschedules must be made 72 hours before flight time to avoid being charged. Flights cannot be cancelled or rescheduled inside of 72 hours of your scheduled flight time 4. Refund: No refund is available for cancellations with less than 72 hours notice of your scheduled flight. A full refund less a 15% booking fee is available for flight certificates for any reason, up to 6 months from the date of purchase. Balloon flights take place as scheduled subject to weather and VFR flight restrictions. 5. Physical Requirements: Notification of physical handicap, disability, pregnancy, or individual weight in excess of 250 lb. is required at time of scheduling. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS * Time? Plan to spend app. 2 ½ hours with us from start to finish. Actual flight time is approx 1 hr. The crew will prepare for flight, launch, track, and meet us wherever we land and return the balloon and all passengers to the launch site. * What to wear? Comfortable sportswear. It’s always 5 to 10 degrees warmer up in the balloon, so don’t overdress. Sneakers or hiking shoes for support, no sandals, heels, or open toe shoes. We also suggest to wear or bring a hat. * What to Bring? Camera, Video Camera, extra film. Leave purses and large bags on the ground. * I’m afraid of heights. Will ballooning bother me? No. There is no physical connection between the earth and the balloon such as there is in a tall building. This complete freedom seems to alleviate any apprehension or anxiety. * Is there a feeling of motion in the balloon? No. The balloon moves at the same speed as the wind. There is no feeling of motion. The sensation of ballooning is the complete absence of sensation. “Tranquil”, “Calm”, “Relaxing”, are the words used most often by our passengers to describe ballooning. * Post Flight? The ground crew meets us wherever we land and returns us to the launch site for a celebration of flight. Champagne, soda, and light snacks are served. A souvenir flight certificate is then presented to each participant. * Team Gear? T-Shirts, sweatshirts, caps and cloisonné pins are available. * Gratuities are not included in flight certificate pricing, and should be extended to crew persons individually. |
